Prafulla Parlewar, PhD

Professor of Urban Planning

Dr. Prafulla Parlewar serves as a professor of urban planning at the School of Planning and Architecture (SPA) in New Delhi, India. He obtained his doctorate in urban planning from Chiba University in Japan. He obtained a Bachelor of Architecture from Visvesvaraya National Institute of Technology (VNIT) in Nagpur and a Master's degree in Planning from the School of Planning and Architecture (SPA) in New Delhi, specializing in urban planning. He possesses experience in urban planning across the USA, Japan, the UK, Mexico, Vietnam, South Korea, India, Morocco, Slovenia, France, the UAE, and Myanmar. He is a fellow at the Harvard University Spatial Data Lab (SDL), conducting research in Artificial Intelligence (AI). He is also a fellow at Meijo University in Japan, engaged in collaborative research in AI for Smart Cities.

 

He received the MTEXT Scholarship from the Government of Japan for his Ph.D. from 2003 to 2007. He is engaged in innovative research, consultancy, and instruction in urban planning and architecture.
